Choosing the right spindle is extremely important.
Depending on your professional use, you can choose from a wide range of spindle revolutions and power. Spindle speeds of 12,000, 15,000, 18,000, 24,000 rpm are available.
However, it does not mean that the spindle is always running at these revolutions. Spindle power is the value of torque multiplied by rotational speed. Horsepower refers to the amount of work being done.
You should choose the spindle power according to the materials that you need to machine.
For machining wood, plastic, laminate, or aluminum with cutters up to 5mm, the spindle with 0.8 kW power and 24,000 rpm is sufficient.
For using cutters up to 8mm you would need a 1kW spindle, for cutters up to 12mm, a 3.3kW spindle, and for cutters up to 16mm, you should have a 5.6 kW spindle.
For steel, you should choose a lower rpm spindle (15,000 to 18,000 rpm) and a 3.3 kW spindle for cutters up to 10mm, a 5.6 kW spindle for cutters up to 12mm, a 7 kW spindle for cutters up to 16mm, and a 10 kW spindle for cutters up to 20mm.
